I always am interested. . . Interested on
how to do things better and also interested in a good love story! I want to
give a good backstory of Jedd and I and a couple starts of our beginnings. How
we met, and how we started dating on a dime, or started to date a dime <3
I had to
meet with a counselor before classes officially started. Once! Twice. . .
Again? I had my classes finally figured out by the 3rd meeting. He helped me
choose some classes he thought would help me progress in my degree. Little did
I know that he would put me in a class where I would meet this handsome catch
named Jedd Tibbitts.
First day
of class we had to introduce ourselves and our most favorite weird food! I said
this banana boat thing with peanut butter, honey because it is to die for! Jedd
I think was interested. . . in the bananas you ask? No, not the bananas because
I found out later after now dating him for 5 months, he still hasn't tried them
and that is because he does not like bananas! But he still talked to me after
class and said "Well hey, I'll have to try that sometime." Sweet guy
right? Doin' something only the little lady likes ;)
**Mandatory
detail story to read** --- We were both in the rodeo and that's how we reallyy
started talking! During the rodeo, Jedd had won the team roping and I had
finished barrel racing, and I was sitting in the stands. I was talking to my
roommate about the guy who was in my humanities class! Not 2 seconds later I
see him (Jedd), ride around the arena with a pizza box. . . and written on that
pizza box was his number! I was like Oh hey, Carlie there he is! Laughed a
little and shook my head like Ohhh boy... haha and maybe decided to move on. .
not because I didn't think he was cute! But because I didn't want to fight those
girls for that pizza box ;)
After the
rodeo, he started small talk with me after class about horses and such! Then he
asked for my number! (Oh my goodness, he asked for my number!!! No pizza box
for me!!) He called me soon after. . . well actually he didn't text me for two
weeks!! I messaged him on FaceBook (he more or less not only roped the
calf at the rodeo, but also me) because I thought how could I let this
cute cowboy slip away? I said "Either you're real good at playing the
waiting game, or I gave you the wrong number! And I don't want it to be the
second one." Believe it or not he texted me maybe an hour later! (Secret
happy dance inside when I saw the text). Oh Oh, then he asked me on a
date! We were going to go roller skating skating but they were closed. . he
ended up having a coupon for bowling and it was a free date! (Already
DatingOnADime?? Whaa?... He's good(; )
Since then we have continued to go on dates and get to know each
other. We love to go out and have a good time with each other and try to learn
something new about one another each time. But how many times can you actually
go out and spend $30 on a date a week? And if you actually did that every week
that is $120 a month! Think about it. . . as college students working until the
days end, how much can we really afford to spend on dates? Even if you aren't
college students and you are reading this blog, I think you can agree that
dinner might happen more than once a week as well as a date. . . Soo. . . How
can we date and not go under for it? Jedd and I are experimenting this summer
and we are giving ourselves a budget for 5 months of $100 dollars for our
dates, May-Sept! I will be updating each week on our plans and how they worked
and give you some good tips and ideas for cheap free dates that help you get
closer to your love in fun ways. That is what this whole blog is about, and its
only our beginning! The beginning of our life long story, and the beginning of
first time real life budgeters. . .Ladies and gentlemen Jedd and I present to
you Dating On A
Dime!
